Modern Family Portraits in a Louisiana Setting
I grew up in south Louisiana. There's something about the natural beauty of our state that just becomes to inhabit you. The oaks and magnolias, the crepe myrtles. Gravel roads and lush grass. This is our home, and it should be honored too. My goal is to leave you with some styled and some documentary photographs.
preserve your joie de vivre
Our state is incredible. We are blessed with beautiful scenery, a rich and diverse culture, and the joie de vivre (joy of life). Honoring Louisiana is important to me. The name Bee & Bear derives from our state insect (the honeybee) and state mammal (the Louisiana black bear). Whether people or pets, rest assured that the special texture of Louisiana is always interwoven into your memories.
Pet Portraiture- making memories with your furry family member
This is where my passion lies. Your pet is your family. And the bond you share is irreplaceable. We all know too well that their lives are brief, but filled with important, joyous moments that we carry on in our hearts. Why not capture those moments forever, either in a photographic portrait or through pet art?

Winner of the 2022 Artificial Light Category/Studio DogTOGrapher of the Year Award, The TOG Awards
Local portrait photographer Lynn Musumeche has been awarded the prestigious title of International Artificial Light PhoTOGrapher of the Year in the 2022 TOG Awards photography competition.
The TOG Awards is a truly international photography competition organised and administrated by That Photography Spot, whose members are dedicated to enhancing their skills in the art, craft and profession of photography. It runs an annual competition which in 2022 garnered nearly 700 entries from 24 different countries worldwide. From these entries, Lynn Musumeche achieved a title with an image called Chin Up.
The competition was judged by three internationally acclaimed judges, Meg Loeks, Tracey Lund and Jessica McGovern and the prize pot held a value of over $2,000 (USD), including cash prizes, custom wall art and bespoke trophies.
Chin Up was taken by Ms. Musumeche at the client’s home in a pop-up studio. She captured Sandor the Vizsla looking up to his owner, creating the award-winning shot.
Jessica McGovern, one of the three multi-award-winning international judges, explained, “to achieve one of the top scores in The TOG Awards is a serious achievement, but to gain one of the highest collated score across nearly 700 entries is remarkable. We are excited to see what's next for Lynn Musumeche and Bee & Bear Photography.
